Insurances by LETsure
We act as an Appointed Representative for Letsure, a large, well-reputed insurance company that deals specifically with insurances for rented property. Because of our low claims history for properties under our care we are able to offer you insurance for your property at very competitive rates. Landlords must provide the rebuild value of the property in order to be able to obtain a quotation.
In most cases, if you are letting your home, your current insurer is likely to increase
your premium to cover for the additional risk involved in letting your property to a
third party.
LANDLORDS
HOUSEHOLD: Buildings and/or contents insurance at very competitive rates, with/without accidental damage cover, specially designed for let property, covering all the usual insured perils, plus such events as theft or malicious damage by the tenant, loss of rent following fire or other insured peril, etc.
Optional limited contents cover of £5000 for unfurnished property to cover carpets, curtains, white goods etc.
- LEGAL PROTECTION:
A must for any Landlord who wishes to avoid costly legal action involved in settling deposit disputes, evictions, etc. At a cost of £85 pa you can secure total peace of mind with an insurance that not only pays for all the legal costs involved but also provides specialist solicitors experienced in property law to handle matters for you. The insurance also provides accommodation costs for you and your family if you are unable to return to your property pending eviction proceedings.
- RENT PROTECTION: In addition to legal protection as above this cover will provide for up to six months rent should your tenant default and you cannot get immediate possession of your property. In addition you will receive 75% of the rent for a further two months whilst you prepare the property for reletting after possession. The cost of this insurance depends on the rental you receive for your property and it is now extremely competitive. (ie £58pa for rents up to £499pcm).
- HOME EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: (for managed properties only). Up to £500-worth of repair per event for emergencies that either endanger your property or inconvenience the tenants in any way. These range from the more minor events such as leaking radiators and lost keys to break-ins and burst pipes.
- PORTFOLIO SOLUTIONS: Provision of buildings insurance and ancillary policies to owners or managers of four or more properties and blocks of flats. Negotiable discounts available.
TENANTS
- TENANTS CONTENTS: Provides cover for personal possessions excluding the first £50 of each claim. This policy also has the benefit of cover for some accidental damage to landlords' possessions, i.e. glass and mirror breakage, theft of keys, etc. up to a maximum of £2,500.
